Pitpass Podcast 2 now available

13/02/2013

The second episode of the Pitpass podcast has been released, featuring interviews with 1996 world champion Damon Hill and Marussia team boss John Booth.

In the near hour-long show editor Chris Balfe and Mat Coch discuss the good, bad and ugly of the 2013 car launch season and cast their eye over the first pre-season test in Jerez. As before the pair are joined by the Pitpass Budgies, Slavica and Tamara, the outspoken duo featuring prominently throughout.

Hill was equally vocal when interviewed, explaining why he thinks modern driving standards have improved while expressing his reservations about pay drivers. It's a topic the ex-Williams driver is gaining experience in, with son Josh currently making his way through the ranks.

Indeed the pay driver trend carried in to Mat Coch's interview with John Booth. The Marussia boss explains why the team was forced to dump Timo Glock, and just how we should regard the squad's all-new, all-rookie 2013 driver line-up.
