Bianchi and Rossiter to test Force India

04/02/2013

Force India, which has yet to name its second driver for the forthcoming season, will run Jules Bianchi and James Rossiter during this week's Jerez test.

Di Resta will be on duty for the first tow days of the test which gets underway tomorrow (Tuesday) before handing over to Rossiter on Wednesday afternoon to give the British driver a chance to benchmark the VJM06 against the team's simulator model and progress the simulator development programme.

29-year-old Rossiter, who has previously tested for BAR, Super Aguri and Honda, will also drive on Thursday morning with di Resta back in the car in the afternoon.

The final day of running on Friday will see Jules Bianchi behind the wheel of the VJM06. Having spent 2012 as the team's third driver, the Frenchman will be able to provide the team's engineers with further comparison feedback between last year's car and the VJM06.

The test line-up appears to lend credence to Bianchi getting the second seat this year, though Adrian Sutil and Bruno Senna are also thought to be in the frame.
