Caterham confirms launch date

21/01/2013

Yet to confirm its driver-line-up, Caterham has revealed that its 2013 contender, the CT03, will be unveiled on the first day of the Jerez test.

The Anglo-Malaysian out fit has thus far only named Charles Pic, with Vitaly Petrov looking increasingly likely to partner him.

Having taken the all-important tenth place in the 2012 standings, courtesy of Petrov finishing eleventh in the season finale at Interlagos, the Leafield based outfit is targeting its first points this year.

Explaining the decision to name the car the CT03, when Caterham only entered F1 under that name in 2012, the team said: "The first road car from our partnership with Renault is CT02, hence CT03"

Currently, Lotus and Marussia, which today confirmed that it has parted company with Timo Glock, are the only teams still to reveal their launch dates.
