As COTA becomes the biggest seller of alcohol in Texas in November, Jenson Button helps blend a very special whisky for McLaren partner Johnnie Walker.

According to the Texas comptroller's office, COTA related events accounted for $2.8m worth of beer, wine and mixed drink sales as the circuit hosted its inaugural Grand Prix in November, while the Austin American-Statesman claims that city-wide alcohol sales for the month reached $48.4 million, 23 percent up on 2011.

Meanwhile, Button has inspired Johnnie Walker to produce a whisky worth £30,000 ($48,500). The extraordinary whisky is the result of the John Walker & Sons Signature Blend program at the brand's House in Shanghai.

Button's 'notes' for the special blend were taken to Scotland, where the final product was created by Johnnie Walker's Master Blender, Jim Beveridge who made a custom blend cask of Johnnie Walker whiskies.

A limited edition (25 units) of the John Walker & Sons Signature Blend, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Edition, has been designed. They will retail exclusively at the brand's House in Shanghai and purchasable via invitation only at £30,000 each.

The whopping sum paid per bottle will provide access to exclusive Formula 1 events under the tutorial of Johnnie Walker's Step Inside the Circuit campaign.

Those who have a taste for good quality whisky and enjoy F1 are sure to appreciate this special blend... assuming you have £30,000 of course.

Trebles all round...
