Mallya in "no rush" to announce 2013 line-up

13/11/2012

Force India boss, Vijay Mallya, says he is in "no rush" to confirm his team's 2013 driver line-up.

With Nico Hulkenberg heading off to Sauber, which, according to Mallya is "almost out of reach" in sixth place in the Constructors' Championship, attention now focuses on who will comprise the Silverstone-based outfit's line-up.

While Paul di Resta looks certain to stay, the Scot having no other serious alternatives, a number of names have been linked with the second seat including Adrian Sutil.

However, Mallya insists that he will not be forced into making an announcement, though it should come before the end of the year.

"We have traditionally waited until the end of the season to confirm our line-up and I expect we will stick to this schedule," he said. "With the state of the driver market at the moment there is no rush to make an announcement. We have a shortlist and will take our time to make sure we have the fastest drivers available in our cars next season."
