Singapore organisers announce three support races for GP

05/07/2012

Organisers of the Singapore Grand Prix have announced that there will be three support races for the forthcoming Grand Prix.

The fifth instalment of the increasingly popular night race will have over 100 of the world's finest racing cars competing at the Marina Bay Street Circuit in September.

Making its first visit to the Singapore street circuit is GP2, the official F1 feeder series, while in another first, the 4.5-litre V8 Berlinettas of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Asia Pacific 2012, will also bring their championship-closing fifth round.

Finally, back for its fifth year is the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, which brings a field of over two dozen 911 GT3 Cup cars contesting the 10th season of this immensely popular one-make category.
