Gurmit's View: Button Undone

18/01/2012

2012 saw Jenson Button continue to silence the sceptics as he took runner-up spot in the championship and upstage his McLaren teammate.

The driver previously dismissed as a "boy band" by Jacques Villeneuve and a "playboy racer" by Flavio Briatore, and whose 2009 title many still put down to luck, took another giant step forward, firmly establishing himself as a contender in 2012 and beyond.

But while Jenson appears to have the upper hand at McLaren, teammate Lewis Hamilton isn't taking things lying down, oh no. The 2008 champ is hard at it, preparing for another long, tortuous season.

Forget those fall outs with the stewards, the interest in his private life, his silly spat with Felipe Massa, Lewis is getting it together one step at a time.

As Lewis attempts to re-establish himself as Numero Uno in Woking, check out Gurmit's latest here...
