Poland is to become the latest stop for the Renault F1 Roadshow when national hero Robert Kubica visits Poznan circuit for a special exhibition of his F1 car on 17 July.

The event will give Robert the first chance to put an F1 car through its paces in his home country and will be a rare opportunity for Polish fans to experience the thrill of an F1 car being driven at speed. Entry to the event is free of charge, to allow as many fans as possible to experience the thrill of F1.

Robert will drive last year's Renault car, the R29, and complete a number of quick laps of the 4.1 km circuit located in western Poland. Fans can also expect to see the traditional donuts and burnouts when Robert lights up the tyres to unleash all 700 horsepower.

Looking ahead to this special event, Robert Kubica said: "The chance to drive an F1 car in my home country is something that I've always wanted to do, so I have to say a big 'thank you' to Renault for making it possible. Poland doesn't have its own Grand Prix, so this is the next best thing and I'm really looking forward to going home and seeing all the Polish fans. It will be the first chance for a lot of them to see an F1 car up close and I will try my best to show them how amazing these cars are."

The Poznan demonstration builds on Renault's Roadshow tradition which dates back to 2004. With the simple philosophy of making the sport accessible to the fans, it's the chance to see the world's fastest cars up close in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

The event in Poznan will be the second time the Renault F1 Team has visited Poland having previously demonstrated its cars on the streets of Warsaw in 2007. In recent years, the Renault F1 Roadshow has also lit up the streets of world capitals such as Moscow, Rome and Mexico City, as well as other prominent global cities including Johannesburg and Sochi.
