What was that about Spa, Ralf?

11/07/2007

Fantastic to see Ralf Schumacher eulogising Spa Francorchamps yesterday, just two months before the Belgian circuit hosts its first World Championship Grand Prix since 2005.

"I'm one of the many drivers who rate Spa as the best circuit on the calendar," said Ralf, "so it makes for a nice change to come here for a test.

"It is always enjoyable to drive this track because it is a 'real' circuit and it has so many special corners," he added.

This is clearly not the same Ralf Schumacher who in 2002 said: "I wouldn't miss Spa. It's just very unstable weather. Quite difficult to get to without any traffic jams. I think for the spectators it's just not very good to look at anyway."

Nah, couldn't be.
