Ross Brawn has confirmed that he will hold talks with Ferrari this summer with the intention of deciding his future role with the Italian team.

The Englishman, who is on a year's sabbatical, has been linked with Jean Todt's position as Team Principal, and talking to Auto Motor und Sport admitted that he is not interested in returning to Maranello as Technical Director.

"Ferrari gave me so much that it is only fair if I speak to them first," he said. "However, if I return, I need a new challenge."

Asked if this might involve the role of Team Principal, the Englishman said: "That is an option for the future."
