Ferrari reiterates its position

NEWS STORY

Contacted by Pitpass on Wednesday morning (11:10 GMT), Ferrari has reiterated its position with regards Minardi's request to enter its 2004 car in the forthcoming Australian GP and the three subsequent events.

Minardi boss Paul Stoddart is claiming that Ferrari has refused to give permission for the Faenza outfit to run its 2004 cars.

"Our position is simple and clear," said a senior spokesman, "it is not up to the teams but to the FIA to decide if a car complies to the regulations," he said.

Whatever, Stoddart is claiming, Ferrari could give its 'approval' - for what it's worth - however it is the FIA, and its appointed representatives, that will decide the legality of the PS04 and whether or not it can race.
