Red Bull boss Dietrich Mateschitz has told the German press that Christian Klien will drive for his team in 2005, he has also hinted at a future partnership with BMW.

Talking to Bild am Sonntag, Mateschitz said: "We have made an offer to Christian, he has the opportunity of a second season in F1."

The Austrian also admitted that he was looking to place F3000 champion Vitantonio Liuzzi in the second car, while looking ahead he revealed that German Formula BMW champion, seventeen-year-old Sebastian Vettel, is under consideration for a future role with his new team.

"Vettel is a mega-talent," said Mateschitz, " and a very promising youngster. What he has achieved is amazing, we hope to give him his F1 break within the next two years."

Talking of BMW, Mateschitz revealed that although his team will be using Cosworth power-plants in 2005, he is hoping to secure BMW units for 2006, though the German manufacturer has already made it clear that it is unhappy with the proposed format change.

"We have a good relationship with BMW," he admitted. "If we change we want the best."
