We remain confident, says Jaguar boss

Twenty-four hours after it was announced that Team Dubai F1 is to enter the 2006 Formula One World Championship, opting to build a new team from scratch, rather than buying an existing team, Jaguar boss David Pitchforth has urged potential buyers to step forward, before it's too late.

Speaking ahead of the final race of the season, and just weeks away from the November 15 deadline, by which time entries for the 2005 season have to be submitted, Pitchforth said: "This is a good team, potentially a great one, and the staff are one of the strongest assets.

"We are confident Jaguar Racing and our sister company Cosworth Racing will prove extremely attractive to buyers," he added.

Although there has been much speculation, Pitchforth admitted that, as yet, nobody has signed on the bottom line.
