A second summons for Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton has been handed a second summons by the Jeddah stewards, this one thought to be relating to the incident involving Pierre Gasly.

Already alleged to have breached Appendix H, Art. 2.5.5.b) of the FIA International Sporting Code, by not respecting double waved yellow flags/lights at 17:22, the world champion is also alleged to have breached Article 31.5 of the FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations, (unnecessary impeding) at Turn 8 at 17:39.

It's understood that this refers to the incident involving Pierre Gasly, who had to take avoiding action when he came across Hamilton, who was driving slowly on the racing line, whilst the Frenchman was on a hot lap.

However, with Hamilton involved is another incident shortly after, this time involving Nikita Mazepin, and in the opinion of most a more serious incident, the summons could relate to that.

The second summons was issued almost an hour after the end of the session.

To add to Mercedes woes, following a fuel leak on Valtteri Bottas' car, the team is changing his engine. However, as he will use a unit from his pool there will be no penalty.
