While remaining awake and looking interested during this morning's presentation of his 2019 steed was probably more challenging than a head-to-head with Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel performed admirably, and when called upon to express his feelings made it clear that he is eager to get back to work.

"I think we are all excited," he said as he looked down at the SF90, so named in respect of the fact that 2019 marks the 90th anniversary of the founding of Ferrari.

"You start to see the car, little bits of it and then you see it slowly come together but today is the first time to see it all together," he continued.

"It's incredible to see when everything comes together," he added. "Now I'm really excited and can't wait to get in, it's a pity that I am not dressed for it now.

"I am looking forward to this year," he concluded. "I believe the team is on the right path and hopefully, we can keep improving."

Other than as new car - and teammate - Vettel has a new boss in the form of Mattia Binotto.

"Obviously he's new in the role," said the German, "but Mattia has been a part of this team longer than most in the room. He has been around a long, long time and we have worked together the last five years.

"It will be a new way to work together but I'm looking forward to it."
