Nicolas Todt, son of FIA president Jean Todt and co-owner of ART Grand Prix, has taken over the management of Daniil Kvyat.

The Russian, who is clearly talented, has had a rollercoaster career, beginning in F1 with Toro Rosso then being promoted to a Red Bull seat.

Subsequently demoted back to the Faenza outfit, having been replaced at Red Bull by Max Verstappen, last year saw the Russian dropped entirely before being brought back on a one-off basis to replace Pierre Gasly who had commitments in Japan.

Todt's appointment as Kvyat's manager, comes at a time the Russian is linked with another return to Toro Rosso, indeed some claim the deal is already done but hasn't been confirmed due to his ongoing commitments to Ferrari for whom he is a simulator and test driver.

Todt, who also manages Charles Leclerc, Pastor Maldonado, James Calado, Jose Maria Lopez and Felipe Massa, was at one time linked with a buy-out of Toro Rosso, though the team's then boss and co-owner, Gerhard Berger, subsequently dismissed the claims.
