Pat Symonds reveals that both Williams driver will have access to the team's new front wing at British Grand Prix.

Though the new wing appeared to be an improvement in Austria, it was subsequently discovered that it had been damaged during qualifying and consequently Felipe Massa - the only driver with access to the new wing in Spielberg - was forced to revert to the old-spec unit and start from the pitlane.

"We found some structural damage on his front wing, which we believe was caused by vibrations over the kerbs," confirmed Head of Performance Engineering, Rob Smedley, on Sunday. "We changed it for safety reasons which meant he had to start from the pitlane, so his race was never going to be easy."

"We're confident that we have overcome the problem that forced Felipe to start from the pitlane and expect both cars to be running the latest front wing, which showed a positive result during testing in Austria," said Chief technical officer, Pat Symonds, today as he looked ahead to the team's home race.

"Even though Austria did not deliver what it promised, there is no reason to think that our home race won't give us a strong result."
