Haas has revealed that its maiden F1 contender will be unveiled at Barcelona next month.

The first chassis to pass the FIA's mandatory crash tests, the American team has opted to forego a launch in the full glare of the media spotlight and will instead unveil the car on the first morning of the opening Barcelona test.

The Banbury-based outfit is among the first to announce its launch date, though (currently) the Ferrari looks first to break cover with a web-based launch on 19 February.

McLaren will take the wraps off the MP4-31 on the day (Sunday) before testing gets underway, whilst the Haas is likely to be one of several cars making their public debut on the Monday.

Renault is scheduled to reveal it livery and (final) driver line-up at a press conference in Paris next Wednesday, whilst later that day Red Bull reveals its new livery.

Indeed, other than its maiden chassis, one of the other talking points surrounding Haas is its livery, initial artist impressions suggesting a somewhat dull, corporate grey and black.
