John Pye Auctions Luxury Assets department is offering four F1 cars to the international market, available by private treaty upon instruction from a private collector. The four cars are being offered individually or as a whole collection.

All with F1 grand prix competition provenance, the cars are the most recent to be made available for public sale on the international market.

From the Virgin & Marsupia formula one teams, the four cars form part of an impressive collection spanning the 2010 to 2013 F1 Grand Prix Seasons.

The quartet is made up of:

2013 Marussia MR02 driven by Jules Bianchi & Max Chilton

2012 Marussia MR01 driven by Timo Glock & Charles Pic

2011 Marussia Virgin MVR02 driven by Timo Glock & Jerome d’Ambrosio

2010 Virgin VR01 driven by Timo Glock & Lucas di Grassi

One of the prize assets from this collection is the 2013 Marussia MR02, which is one of the first Formula 1 cars to be offered to the public featuring the DRS system.

DRS (Drag Reduction System) was first introduced to Formula One in 2011 and when activated reduces drag to increase the cars top speed.

"This is an incredibly rare and unique opportunity to own a piece of Formula One history," said Giorgio Vitale, John Pye Auctions Business Development Manager. "These assets are the most modern F1 cars available to have been made available on the international market.

"Race photos show great provenance but simply do not do the cars complete justice; they have to be seen in person to be fully appreciated for their styling and engineering beauty.

"This is why we are giving the public and prospective purchasers the opportunity to view the cars at our John Pye Auctions site in Marchington, Uttoxeter, over the next few weeks.

"The cars will be of interest to private collectors as museum pieces, as well as showcase items and even track day cars with some post sales engine and tuning to high net worth individuals looking for the ultimate automotive thrill."

Two weeks of John Pye Luxury Assets viewings for the cars are being held by John Pye at their West Midlands Hub. Offers are now being considered for the whole collection or each individual car from the quartet.

"We are anticipating international interest in this exclusive private client offering," said John Pye Business Development Director Sheldon Miller. "The cars have raced through the streets of Monte Carlo for the Monaco Grand Prix and across the F1 international circuit. It’s the ultimate auto sport asset provenance offering."

"Due to the premium niche nature of these highly desirable F1 luxury assets, the cars are priced upon application and we are managing offers on a private treaty basis with marketing and negotiation being brokered by John Pye Luxury Assets on behalf of our private client."

Viewings will take place at the John Pye Auctions West Midlands Hub at: Units 39-40 Marchington Industrial Estate, Marchington, nr Uttoxeter, Staffordshire ST14 8LP.

Initial dates are as follows:

Monday February 1st - 11am to 1pm
Tuesday February 2nd - 11am to 1pm

Private viewings can be arranged.
