Pitpass would like to wish all its readers a very, very happy and prosperous New Year and a great season of racing in 2016.
Following the domination by Mercedes in 2015, we are sure you'll join us in hoping that Ferrari and the rest can raise their game and give the Silver Arrows a run for their money in the months ahead.
While this is a time for looking forward, let us spare a moment to reflect on 2015, the rising stars, most notably Max Verstappen, the phoenix-like re-emergence of Manor and the joyous return of Mexico to the calendar.
Let us not forget also the tragic passing of Jules Bianchi, Justin Wilson, Guy Ligier and Jean-Pierre Beltoise.
Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes domination last season naturally had an impact on our statistics, not helped by traditionally exciting circuits, such as Interlagos, providing what can only be described as snoozefests.
Though there are precious few rule changes in the coming season, hopefully not only can we expect to see the Mercedes duo under pressure but our sport's powers that be coming up with a brave new rulebook for 2017 and beyond.
