Car 22 (Button) permitted to start as the driver has set satisfactory times in practice at this event.
Car 33 (Verstappen) - 5 place grid penalty for causing a collision (Monaco).
Car 33 (Verstappen) - 10 place grid penalty as first time a fifth power unit element has been used.
Car 5 (Vettel) - 5 place grid penalty for overtaking under red flag in FP3.
Note:
As Verstappen qualified 12th and a five grid place penalty from the Monaco GP has already been imposed, only 2 places of the ten grid place penalty can be applied. Therefore, in accordance with Article 28.4 c) of the FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations the remainder of the ten grid position penalty will be taken as a 10s time penalty (Article 16.3 b).

A 5th TC (turbocharger) and 5th MGU-H have been used by car 22 (Button). This is a breach of Article 28.4 a) of the FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations. In accordance with Article 28.4 c) a 10 grid position penalty is imposed, as this is the first time a 5th power unit element has been used, and a further 5 grid position penalty is imposed as this is the first time a 5th of any of the remaining elements is used.
The team notified the Technical Delegate of the change of the TC and MGU-H on Saturday, 6th June, at 12:40.
Because, prior to this penalty car 22 is to start the race at the rear of the grid, as the penalty cannot be imposed, in accordance with Article 28.4 c) of the FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations the 15 grid position penalty will be taken as a drive-through penalty (Article 16.3 c), to be served in the first three laps of the race.
