Did F1 supremo have a premonition of Mercedes Monaco madness?
In a joint interview (of which more later) with Nico Rosberg for the official F1 website, Bernie Ecclestone was asked about his reputation as a survivor.
"You have to hope that your opponents are unlucky," said the F1 supremo. "Never only rely on your own luck."
"But sometimes you make your own luck by taking a risk and hope that it turns out well," said Rosberg. "And many times the dice fall in your favour."
"Forget what others whisper in your ears," warns Ecclestone, though not making clear whether that includes radio messages. "Most of that is pure rubbish that obstructs the view to what really is important. Always make your own decisions."
