As his team recovers from the nightmare of Suzuka, Marussia team boss John Booth is scheduled to appear at Friday's press conference in Sochi.

Other than a couple of official statements the team has retained a dignified but worrying silence since the incident that brought Sunday's Japanese Grand Prix to an early end and has left Jules Bianchi fighting for his life with a traumatic brain injury.

When it was revealed this morning that the Marussia Manor GP3 team has pulled out of this weekend's event at Sochi it was feared that the Banbury outfit might also opt to miss the Grand Prix however, the team insists that the decision not to contest the GP3 event was due to "commercial reasons" and nothing to do with the events of last Sunday.

As fans, rival teams and drivers all pray for Jules Bianchi, it is hoped that Booth's attendance on Friday signals some positive news.

Also attending Friday's press conference will be Eric Boullier, Christian Horner, Marco Mattiacci, Monisha Kaltenborn and Franz Tost.

Thursday's press conference will also be well attended, with three drivers involved in the ongoing game of '2015 musical chairs', Fernando Alonso, Jenson Button and Sebastian Vettel on duty, along with Daniil Kvyat, Felipe Massa and Adrian Sutil, who witnessed Bianchi's accident at close quarters.
