Rosberg: Radio free racing more pure

After a day in the Mercedes simulator sans radio, Nico Rosberg claims racing is now more "pure".

Though not the only driver to rely on radio messages from his team for guidance, fans and viewers have become used to the German’s calls for "racing advice, please".

Consequently, fearing that such guidance will give the impression that the driver is not the only person at the wheel, and that Article 20.1 of the sporting regulations - which states that "the driver must drive the car alone and unaided” - is being contravened, the FIA has issued full guidelines on what can and can be said over the radio from now on.

Ahead of this weekend's race in Singapore, Rosberg spent a day in the team simulator practicing the Sochi circuit, subsequently tweeting: "Great day in simulator. Practising Sochi & getting used to no radio comm. Its good, the racing becomes more pure."
