Talking of Rush...

Ahead of next month's release of the movie Rush, which features the epic 1976 season battle between Niki Lauda and James Hunt, Memento Exclusives has a rather special bit of memorabilia.

The British sports memorabilia and merchandise company, which enjoys strong relationships with several team including Mercedes, Lotus, McLaren and Sahara Force India, has a cockpit from Hunt's spare McLaren M23D.

In iconic McLaren red with Marlboro and Texaco branding, the cockpit, which was the spare for the British driver, features Hunt's name and the Union flag.

For £7,200, you can own a piece of racing history from an epic season in which Hunt won the championship by one point. More details here.

For those with a more modest budget, our friends at Memento Exclusives have numerous other items of interest.

There's a race-used wheel rim from Sahara Force India used during a 2012 Grand Prix. Powder-coated in white for a stylish look, the wheel rim is fitted with a toughened glass top to transform it into a practical drinks table!

The glass top is laser-etched with the Sahara Force India logo and the table comes complete with a Certificate of Authenticity contained in a keep-sake folder; making it a perfect collectors' item. More details here.

Or how about some epic artwork by Californian artist, Alan Greene. His colourful Californian influences are clear to see in his artwork of F1 races and Supercars such as the Lamborghini Murcielago and McLaren MP4-12C.

Our personal favourite is clearly inspired by another motor racing film, Steve McQueen's eponymous 1970 race-feast based on the Le Mans 24-Hours. More details here.

And to get you in the mood for Rush...
