Race Control systems out again

Mat Coch writes:

For the second race in succession the telemetry system linking Race Control to the cars on track is not working.

In Melbourne Pitpass cheekily speculated that mice had chewed threw the wiring, though a repeat this weekend suggests the problems are a little more deeply seated.

It means once again that drivers will not have lights in their cockpits displaying red, yellow or blue flag information nor will DRS be disabled centrally.

The impact of the outage is comparatively small but will put more onus on teams and drivers during the race, and no doubt heap pressure on the FIA boffins to understand just where the system is failing.
