An abundance of talent and gritty determination means nothing on the path to Formula One, according to reigning GP3 champion Mitch Evans.

The 18-year-old New Zealander, seen here with Mark Webber, stopped by to speak with Pitpass for its latest podcast. In a candid interview Evans, currently living in England and about to embark on his first season in GP2, revealed just how tough it is to make it, and what concerns those on the ladder hold as they approach the very top.

Also on the show is Pitpass Business Editor Chris Sylt who gives his thoughts on movements at Mercedes, along with examining Bernie Ecclestone's fondness for subscription television and what that means for fans.

The show is rounded out by Paul Hembery, the Pirelli motor sport boss who has perhaps the best view of the teams current pace of anyone in the sport. He tells us who he thinks is quick and exactly what we can expect to see when the season gets going in Melbourne in a couple of weeks.

As always Chris Balfe and Mat Coch are joined by the Pitpass budgies, who do their best to get their own opinions across in the hour-long show.
