Webber won't roll over for Vettel

Mark Webber insists he has no intention of playing second fiddle to teammate Sebastian Vettel ass the German seemingly heads towards his third title.

The Australian, who has enjoyed a sometimes fractious relationship with his team and teammate, famously claiming "not bad for a number two" as he took another win for the Austrian outfit, is effectively out of the running for the title, being 63 points adrift of the German.

However, speaking to reporters ahead of this weekend's race, Webber, who has won twice this season, insists that he has no intention of rolling over and supporting his teammate's bid for the title.

Asked what he would do if, in the closing stages of Sunday's race, he was leading, with Vettel in his mirrors, Webber grinned and replied: "I will win. That's it.

"This weekend if I have a chance to win the grand prix I will go for it," he added. "Mathematically I have a chance, so if I'm in the lead this weekend, I'm not pulling over for anyone."

Meanwhile, Vettel, who in Korea took a lights-to-flag victory, passing pole-man Webber on the run to the first corner, was asked if he expected his team to introduce team orders in a bid to help him secure the title.

"First we see to have a good start and then we'll cross that bridge when we get to it," he said. "Obviously it wasn't an issue in the last race. I had a very good start and both of us had a very good race. But I don't like talking about these things because there are probably a million different scenarios.

"Ultimately I think it will always be different to what you think," he added. "I want to stay focused on what really matters and there's a lot to be done before that comes into play."
