Hamilton: All Tweeted out?

Lewis Hamilton has revealed that he will take a more cautious approach towards social media following his latest faux pas on Twitter.

In the wake of his Spa silliness, when he tweeted confidential team data, which he was subsequently ordered to remove, the Englishman was in hot (ok, warm) water again last week when he criticised teammate Jenson Button for 'unfollowing' him, a move the McLaren thought was in retaliation for his move to Mercedes, only to find that the 2009 champ hadn't followed him in the first place.

Speaking to reporters in Korea today, Hamilton insisted that he has learned his lesson.

"I just have to put my hands up and say I made a mistake," he said. "Sometimes we do that in the heat of the moment and you don't actually mean what you say, but there is nothing I can do. I apologised and that is it, we move forward.

"Perhaps me and Twitter don't go together too well," he continued. "I like it because I like to be able to share the great experiences I have with the fans but it is a fine line. Lots of people get it wrong and I am one of those and I will hopefully try to improve on that."

Referring to last week's tweet, Hamilton said: "I obviously wasn't in the right frame of mind, but that's it. Hopefully I won't do it again."

Currently 42 points adrift of Fernando Alonso, Hamilton hopes that this weekend his rivals will be following him.
