Speculation over Ferrari's second seat has escalated to the point where seemingly any and all drivers have been linked with a move to Maranello, the latest being Sebastian Vettel.

However, the comparatively unknown Ray Filetti, who is sure to be linked with a move to the Italian team at some stage, refused to rule out a move to the Maranello outfit at the pub last night.

Comments made by Stefano Domenicali during a 'chewing the fat' meeting with Bernie Ecclestone have sent much of the media into a frenzy at the notion that the sport's most recent double world champion joining one of its others at the Prancing Horse.

On the strength of Domenicali's comments, which amounted to "one should never say no", Vettel has been linked to the team, forcing denials and comment from the German and even Fernando Alonso.

Vettel however summed it up perfectly. "There's always something going round the paddock," he said. "Just a couple of weeks ago Mark was being linked to Ferrari as a potential driver for them next year, so the media will always find something to talk about."

Filetti meanwhile is convinced he is the right man for the job, though he does concede fitness may be a concern. His record is exemplary, successfully piloting his car to and from the pub without hitting anything important, and certainly nothing anybody noticed.
