According to reports in the Italian media, Robert Kubica has undergone further surgery to his right elbow as his long rehabilitation process continues.

The Pole, who was badly injured during a rally in Italy in February last year, underwent the operation at the Pederzoli Hospital near Verona last month, though details have only just been released.

"Thanks to this, the driver will be able to completely turn steering wheels," Dr. Ruggero Testoni, Head of Hand Surgery at the hospital told the media. "Earlier, he couldn't turn his hand when he was holding a steering wheel. He had to release it while turning left."

Dr. Testoni revealed that following the operation, which was preceded by test runs on a racing simulator, it will take around a month for the elbow to stabilize.
