Bahrain Ministry of Interior issues statement

Bahrain's Ministry of Interior has issued a brief statement following the suspicious death of an alleged protestor on Friday night.

The statement reads as follows:

"Chief of Public Security Major-General Tariq Al Hassan has said that the operations room received a call at 8:10am on Saturday about a man's body lying in a garden in Shakhura. Police and crime scene investigators immediately went to the scene and launched an investigation.

It was determined that the man had died under suspicious circumstances. The Public Prosecutor was immediately informed and a forensic expert was sent to the scene.

The dead man's name is Salah Abbas Habib Musa, 36. The Chief of Public Security said more details would be released as they become available. He reminded everyone, both journalists and the public, to wait for the facts to be established and not to believe unconfirmed reports on social media networks."
