Bottas to drive at Barcelona

In a surprise move, Valtteri Bottas is to drive the Williams FW34 during next week's test at Barcelona.

In these days of restricted testing - teams only allowed 12 days in the build up to the season - test drivers are usually restricted to the simulator, straight-line testing or demo runs at promotional events, the Finnish youngster will enjoy a full day in Williams 2012 contender as the Grove outfit continues its preparations for the season ahead.

While Bruno Senna will drive the car on Tuesday, Bottas will drive the FW34 on Wednesday before handing over to Pastor Maldonado for the final two days.

At the opening test in Jerez, only two test drivers took part, Giedo van der Garde enjoyed a day in the Caterham, while Jules Bianchi enjoyed two laps in the Force India...
