Writing on Twitter, Lewis Hamilton has given the thumbs up to McLaren's 2011 contender, claming that it fills him with confidence.

"Lots of neat ideas and improvements," writes the 25-year-old. "First time driving the new car and I was happy. KERS and rear wing is trick but felt right at home with it."

In an added thumbs-up for the Woking contender, Hamilton points to the return of KERS next season, especially in light of the fact that in 2009 the Mercedes developed system was widely recognised as the best on the grid. "Our KERS is the best," he writes, adding: "It shud deliver."

The Woking team, which finished runner-up in the team standing, was further buoyed by Jenson Button who is equally confident especially in terms of the return of KERS.

"I've never driven with KERS before but this team used KERS last year and used it well," said the Englishman, according to Reuters. "I know because they kept coming by me at the start.

"They have so much experience in that area that I think we'll have an advantage," he added, "as will Mercedes and Force India who use Mercedes engines. We'll have an advantage on Red Bull and Ferrari I think."
