Having secured the 2010 DTM title, Force India test driver Paul di Resta has given his hopes of securing an F1 race seat in 2011 a major boost.
The 24-year-old, a cousin of three-time Indy Car champion Dario Franchitti, is hoping to move up to a full F1 race seat next season with many tipping the young Scot to replace Tonio Liuzzi.
Having secured the 2010 DTM title with a second-place finish yesterday - the winner was McLaren tester Gary Paffett - di Resta, a former F3 Euroseries winner, has another impressive credential on an already impressive CV, especially as he won the title for Mercedes, which supplies engines to the Silverstone-based outfit.
