We are delighted to announce that Loo Yee Pheng is the outright winner of our Abu Dhabi GP prediction competition.
While quite a few of you predicted that Sebastian Vettel would win the race, of the thousands of entries only Loo Yee Pheng correctly predicted Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button would complete the podium. For good measure he even predicted that there would be 21 finishers.
Told the good news by Pitpass, Yee Pheng said: "Thank you very much for the good news! I didn't even remember I submitted this after the excitement watching last night's grand finale on TV!
"This definitely makes up for the disappointment of not seeing Lewis achieve his miracle win for the championship! Admittedly it was the most exciting finale ever, though.
"I am a Lewis fan," he continues. "I have in fact been a staunch McLaren fan since the days of Mika Hakkinen. I first took an interest in F1 in the lates 90s when the first Malaysian race was introduced."
Yee Pheng, who is an engineer and lives on the island of Borneo is already making space for the superb 1:8 scale model that our good friend at Amalgam contributed. Needless to say, he has requested Lewis Hamilton's MP4-25.
Rumours that Amalgam is producing a special Abu Dhabi version of Fernando Alonso's F10 - complete with wildly gesticulating driver - are thought to be unfounded.
