Mark Webber has moved to play down speculation that he intends parting company with Red Bull at the end of the season.

Despite having a year on his contract with the Austrian team still to run, in the wake of comments made yesterday - when he suggested that the team "emotionally" favours his teammate Sebastian Vettel - there has been intense paddock speculation that he will leave at the end of the season whether he wins the title or not.

However, speaking to reporters following today's practice sessions in which he finished second, just 0.104s of Vettel's pace, the Australian, when asked about the rumours replied: "It's okay. I think yesterday there were a few comments which I don't think were a big surprise to people, but it is fine in the team. Absolutely fine.

"I have a very good relationship with the right people to give me technically a great chance to do a very good job," he continued, "and that is the most important thing. As long as I am enjoying my driving and performing reasonably well - and it went okay today - and as long as I don't forget how to drive in the next few months then of course I will be here next year."
