A post race penalty handed to Jaime Alguersuari following today's race means that the Spanish driver loses 10th place.

The stewards - who include 1992 world champion Nigel Mansell - received a report from the Race Director following an incident involving Alguersuari and Tonio Liuzzi when the Spaniard missed the final corner thereby gaining an advantage - a breach of Article 2.c Chapter IV Appendix L of the International Sporting Code.

Usually, under Article 16.3.a, a drive through penalty would have been awarded, consequently the Toro Rosso driver has been handed a 20 seconds penalty, thereby dropping him to thirteenth.

Ironically, this means that Liuzzi is promoted to tenth place and is therefore warded the final point.

"I'm really pleased to be back in the points again this race for the first time since Canada," said Liuzzi on hearing the news. "We've always been pushing really hard so to get a point here, and to make it a double points scoring finish for the team, is a really good reward for all the hard work we've done over the past few weeks."
