2007 world champion Kimi Raikkonen has said that he is unlikely to return to Formula One.

Unable to secure a leading F1 drive this year, having been dropped by Ferrari in favour of Fernando Alonso, the Finn made the switch to the world rally championship with Citroen.

Whilst enjoying mixed success in his debut season, he has poured cold water on talk of a return to F1, telling French sports daily L'Equip: "I will probably never return.

"It's something I did for many years, I had many great moments," he added. "I won a world championship title, which is what I always wanted, but times have changed. Now I'm in rallying and there are many other things apart from Formula One in life."

Having been linked with the Le Mans 24-hour race, the Finn admitted: "I would like to try but you need to find the right team. If you want to win, there are only two, Peugeot and Audi. One day, I hope, there will be an opportunity."
