Illegal immigrants use FOM trucks to enter UK

It has been revealed that a number of illegal immigrants gained access to the UK by climbing on board trucks belonging to Formula One Management (FOM) as they returned from the Monaco Grand Prix.

On returning to FOM's base in Biggin Hill, five illegal immigrants were discovered in the trucks, which were carrying TV equipment, and handed over to the UK Border Agency.

"I can confirm five individuals were found at Biggin Hill Airport on May 20 who had recently arrived by road from France," said a spokesman for the UK Border Agency, according to the Daily Telegraph. "The individuals involved were arrested and detained whilst their asylum claims are being processed."

FOM, which forms part of Bernie Ecclestone's empire - as does Biggin Hill - controls the worldwide media distribution, management rights and promotion of F1.

While the illegals might have gained access to the UK due to a certain degree of laxity on the part of certain FOM employees, we would be more than happy to wager that they would not be able to gain access to the F1 paddock, not without all the correct passes.
