Mark Webber, who starts today's Malaysian GP from pole position, almost came to grief while celebrating his achievement yesterday.
The Australian, who broke a leg while taking part in a charity bicycle event in late 2008, is understood to have cut himself when sliding down a staircase railing on his way back from yesterday's post-qualifying press conference.
The Red Bull driver - not thought to be using a double diffuser at the time - is understood to have slid down the railing faster than expected and cut himself.
A team spokesperson subsequently revealed that while the Australian had cut his right hand in the incident it was unlikely to affect his race.
