Virgin Racing has announced that it is to hold a media event in London next week in order to unveil the "worst kept secret in motor racing".
After months of rumour linking Virgin with Manor Racing, one of four new teams due to enter F1 next season, the FIA let the cat out of the bag when it released the official entry list for 2010 on November 30. The list showed cars 24 and 25 to be Virgin Cosworths entered by Virgin Racing.
In a brief press release issued this evening, Virgin Racing proclaimed that "it all starts here".
"We've dropped a few hints, there's been wild speculation, a few teasers... and even an official confirmation," read the release. "But now Richard Branson and the Virgin Racing management would like to invite you to the global media launch of the best "worst kept secret" in motor racing.
The event, which will take place in Notting Hill, is scheduled for Tuesday December 15.
