The longest 48-hours in history?

NEWS STORY

On November 5 - a night historically linked with plotting in Britain - Bernie Ecclestone gave Silverstone 48-hours to sign on the dotted line or lose the British Grand Prix. It is now November 16.

"They say there is not much between us and them, so they should sign," Ecclestone told the Daily Express. "Maybe they have lost their pen but if they don't find it in the next day or two then that is it. I will pull the race off the calendar and there will be no British Grand Prix to argue about."

Whether they've found their pen or not, and despite (BRDC president) Damon Hill's confidence that a solution will be found, a lot of British race fans are getting decidedly twitchy. Surely they've suffered enough over the years.

No news isn't good news, no news is no news!
