Talking of Force India…

NEWS STORY

As Force India celebrates a victory in the High Court, we hear that days after the Silverstone outfit finally broke its ties with Colin Kolles, there are fears for the future of veteran Director of Business Affairs, Ian Phillips.

Details are sketchy, however we hear that certain people at Dadford Road (no names) were unhappy when Eddie Jordan - former owner of Jordan, which was to become Midland then Spyker then Force India, turned BBC F1 pundit - 'revealed' that Giancarlo Fisichella was heading to Ferrari, a move denied by team boss Vijay Mallya but then admitted just 24-hours later.

Since the incident Phillips has been effectively grounded having been suspended from attending races, which accounts from his absence from BBC's Friday afternoon practice coverage for the last couple of races.

Such is his concern, we hear that Jordan has even been to Bernie Ecclestone in order that the F1 supremo might intervene on Phillips' behalf.
