Durango has announced that Stefano Coletti is to replace Davide Valsecchi who han joined the Barwa Addax Team in place of Romain Grosjean who makes his F1 debut with Renault this weekend.
The 20-year-old from Monaco, who is already a two-time winner in the F3 Euro Series this year, declared: "I know that in Valencia I have a very difficult job to do but this GP2 debut is a chance I could not miss. So today I know it will be difficult but I am very happy as well".
Ivone Pinton added: "Stefano's father is a long time personal friend of mine, which means I know Stefano since he was born. He run the first tests and races with a single-seater under our wing with myself as supervisor, so having him as a GP2 driver means something special to me. But, beyond the personal meanings, I am sure that he will grace Durango with very nice satisfications."
