As part of its campaign to claim the moral high ground, certainly in the eyes of its fans, Ferrari is running a poll on its website.

"Your opinion about the 2010 championship... vote now" reads a panel on the main page.

On clicking through to the poll readers are asked "Do you agree with FOTA's decision to organise a new championship?", the options being 'yes', 'no' and 'don't know'.

Sadly, having voted, readers are not advised how the poll currently stands, but one has the feeling that if the right result is forthcoming the Maranello outfit will not be backward in making it public.

In other news, sources claim that there is no truth to rumours that Max Mosley and several members of his FIA inner sanctum are being treated for Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI), after spending hours at their computers clicking away on the 'no' option in a poll organised by a certain Italian Formula One team.

The same sources also deny that in organising a similar poll for its website, the FIA has called on the services of a certain Mr R Mugabe.
