As expected, BMW has protested the legality of the diffusers on Williams, Toyota and Brawn cars under Article 171 Chapter XII of the 2009 FIA International Sport Code.
The protest was subsequently thrown out since, as in Melbourne, the Race Stewards found the cars to fully comply with the 2009 Formula One Technical Regulations.
As was the case with Ferrari, Renault and Red Bull in Melbourne, BMW has appealed the decision, with its appeal to be heard at the International Court of Appeal on April 14.
