David Clare has resigned as CEO Asia Pacific for A1GP in order to pursue automobile manufacturing, PR, marketing and motorsport projects that focus on the Asian market. Apparently, he left A1GP on November 14th.
Clare has worked in various forms of professional motorsport, including nine years at the Formula One Constructors Association (FOCA). Prior to joining A1GP he worked in the US as COO of Championship Auto Racing Teams Inc. and subsequently as Chairman of Champcar.
"I have enjoyed my time with A1GP but have for a long time wanted to develop a number of opportunities that will change the face of the automobile industry in the region that integrate closely with the evolution of Asia as the key market in the 21st Century" says Clare. "The Asian Automobile industry is creating its own characteristics and the opportunity to assist this process is close to my heart."
