Track conditions were difficult again today at Paul Ricard, with a consistently wet circuit, which despite the best efforts of the drivers led to numerous 'interruptions' and red flags.

The final GP2 test of 2008 ended with Roldan Rodriguez (Piquet) posting the quickest lap time of the day with a 1:27.038, ahead of DAMS Kobayashi. The Japanese driver was almost half a second clear of Campos driver Vitaly Petrov.

The Top 3 was followed by three rookies, Luiz Razia (ART), Dani Clos (Racing Engineering) and Julien Jousse (FMS). Karun Chandhok (iSport) finished seventh ahead of his teammate for the day Mike Conway, Nico Hulkenberg in the second ART car and Sergio Perez in the other Piquet car.

This concluded testing for 2008. The next test session will take place at Paul Ricard from March 11th to March 13th.

The GP2 circus will now fly to Dubai for the second round of the GP2 Asia Series which will take place on December 5 and 6.
