Despite the date of the inaugural race being moved back two weeks, to November 1 rather than November 15, organizers insist that it will still be a race to remember.

"Having worked in this sport for such a long time, you become very flexible and accustomed to change," says Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management (ADMM) CEO Philippe Gurdjian, "the construction of Yas Marina Circuit is running to schedule and we will be ready in time ahead of the race.

"We are still delighted to be given the honour of hosting the final race of the season - we will make it a race to remember and in doing so, make the people of Abu Dhabi and the F1 community proud."

While no-one doubts that Abu Dhabi will make a magnificent venue, purists are concerned that should the title go down to the wire, the atmosphere will be nothing like that at Interlagos last weekend.
